Perdition creates a new strain of doom, that, drawing heavily from atmospheric goth metal, infuses adrenaline-charged beats and eerie electronic textures. The result charts new dark musical territory while retaining accessible hooks. Those that may expect another EBM industrial act will be greatly disappointed. Perdition brings coldwave / goth back to the forefront - a force now severely lacking in the scene. The smooth mix of masterful electronic programming with aggressive guitars and crunching bass are a refreshing change from today's frigid world of purely computerized industrial. Ultimately, they produce an onslaught of sonic intensity that few can match.

These pioneers of EBM / Synthpop have been around since 1988 and did their live debut in 1991 at Backtrax in Brampton. The "This Heaven" demo CD was released in 2000 to favorable reviews. The current live line up consists of Andreas Gregor, David Rout, Monique Albert (Voice Industrie) and Paul Jaworski (Pulse Plant) and had its first Toronto appearance in years at Darkrave V28, opening for Epsilon Minus.

Weird alternative from Toronto

The concept behind iszoloscope is an audio portrait of the effects of isolation on judgment, mental health, interpersonal values and anger on a human being. From my own experience, I know the consequences it has one's mind : The inability to express and understand thoughts & feelings, the irrational thinking that fallow and the overwhelming anger that climaxes as a result in unpredictable cycles.

Kitchener, Canada's SCHIZOID exploded onto the underground scene in 1998 with a ruthless combination of hardest technoise meets blackened grindpunkcore stlye, and since then has left his mark. After fronting other local infamous punk, thrash, and spazzcore bands in the area, J.Schizoid took to producing extreme electronic music, which has been accused by one review of being "the sound of music's worst nightmare." SCHIZOID's digital hardcore powerviolence paints a bleak picture of the collective human reality with haunting political and mental revolution-prone alarms, while renouncing any elitist and pre-established musical rules or conventions.

Cold, Dark, Grim. UNITUS drops the dancy synth melodies in favour of harsh metalic beats and jagged guitar soundscapes.

With Siniestra, the trio produces non-synthetic electronic works that are danceable while retaining integrity and lyrical meaning. While holding true to their Goth background, Siniestra branches out to cover a range of electronic sounds from dark ambient textures to heavier electronic beats. They mix in elements of jungle and hip hop to lyrics formed of melodic angst, beauty, and things that make the soul bleed. Siniestra is working on their first album, but has already completed remixes for established bands
