Mara's Torment - Across for Show (Independent)

I'm doing it again...I did the latest review and then I'm looking back to the past of the band (Mara's Torment latest was reviewed during the last update). And why do I do such a thing? Mainly, I think that certain acts, like Mara's Torment, deserve the spotlight...but in reality I have a major power issue and like to fuck with people's heads.

This cd is another of Rik Maclean's ambient works that deserves a mention no matter what. "Across for Show" is a brilliant work that I personally use for relaxation most nights when I have trouble sleeping. It is hypnotic and relaxing which makes it perfect for that but also would fit into any environment where people are serious about the music they listen to.

Make no mistake that this is at all boring because I use it mainly for purposes of sleeping. I find it almost becomes a "dreamscape" of sorts for me. It provokes imagery that only a few ambient artists can.Mara's Torment has established themselves as one of the leaders in the genre and we're going to keep tabs on them...
