The Hollow - Natio

I picked up a copy of The Hollow's debut release titled, Natio at their last show at The 360. Actually, they gave it to me, which was pretty darn nice. I can honestly say I haven't heard a tighter goth-metal release in years. The CD is like an end-to-end journey from song 1 to 13 (or whatever number of songs there are.) and not just a series of 3 minute jingles strung together. There have hugely powerful and angst ridden songs like 'Mother Was a Man' all the way to more melodic power ballads such as 'the Ladder'. It really is a feast for the ears and I also suggest checking out their live show which is almost better than the disc. I know their playing Canada Music Week at Lee's Palace on thursday, Feb 27th.
