Perdition's live lineup: Chris (vocals), Ian (guitar), Jeremy (bass), Monique (vocals) & Steven (guitar) . Together, they bring real gothic music back to the stage and stereo, with a smooth mix of masterful electronic programming, and aggressive guitars. A Random Exit
A Random Exit is an electronic/organic band with members in Toronto and Sudbury. Originally conceived in 1999 by Mike Goat and Granto as a rhythym-based project focusing on hypnotic, floor-pounding arrangements complemented by live instruments, ARE developed a cult following throughout Northern Ontario. In late 2000, the duo performed on "The Zero Signal", an industrial-tinged radio show on Sudbury's CKLU hosted by Nathan Plastic. By late 2001, Nathan joined the band as lead vocalist, bringing a more confrontational energy and charismatic presence to ARE's live shows. As a trio, the band have been described as creating dark electro grooves, measuring out graceful synths with swirling, sub-bass noise on songs dealing with sex, obsession, and fatalism. ARE's first full-length CD "Perdition" was released in the spring of 2003 and has received some significant college radio and club play, in part for their cover of Dead Can Dance's "The Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove." The September 2003 New Scream show marked their first live Toronto appearance.

Chris Alexander
A lifelong cineaste and lover of sublime and extreme art, Chris Alexander's music is designed to terrify. For the past five years Alexander has been developing his own very particular brand of stylized darkness, heavily influenced by the films of Dario Argento, David Lynch and Lucio Fulci. As a composer, Alexander has scored several independent films and has been behind numerous projects: Walls of Jericho, Eliza/Alexander and Inseminoid to name just a few. As a film critic and columnist for Canadian horror film periodical Rue Morgue (www.rue-morgue.com), Alexander has interviewed many genre icons including legendary writer Richard Matheson (I Am Legend), an interview which got him nominated for The Rondo Hatton Classic Horror award. In addition to his music and writing, Alexander also teaches a horror film theory course at Sheridan College called "Fear on Film" and runs, along with fellow artist Lars Madsen, film/music website Meridian Music.
