!Bang
Elektronika
2003, this is THE YEAR for veterans !Bang Elektronika.
Currently working on a new album, the Toronto based band now consists of
Vocalist and Synthesist, Andreas Gregor (A seven year veteran of Digital
Poodle.), Synthesist, Paul Jaworski and Monique Albert, a powerful and
classically trained vocalist formerly of Voice Industrie. The classic
"Aktivierung" is still in heavy rotation in dance clubs today. Thanks to the
soon to be released remix by T.O.Y, tracks such as "Aetzend" are finding their
way onto DJ set lists in North America, Europe and in other areas around the
globe. !Bang Elektronika will be appearing this summer around the Toronto area.
After a hiatus due to legal reasons, the band independently released
"This Heaven". The album enjoyed excellent reviews from both the public and
music world. "This Heaven" embraces techno rhythms and synth-pop melodies with
aggressive and melodic vocals creating classic dance floor hits. The album is
enjoying airplay within clubs in the cities of Toronto and Edmonton, as well as
on many play lists from Australia, Germany, Spain and the US.
The band
first began in 1988, by David Rout. Their first release was a six song cassette
entitled "Aktivierung". Two songs from the cassette were released on the "Metro
Tekno" compilation CD by San Francisco based Silent Records in 1992. !Bang
Elektronika released their first full length CD titled "Aktivierung" on
Germany's Hyperium label in late 1993. E-mail: collectiva@sympatico.ca
