Art imitates life.
Tragedy entertains comedy.
Drawing influences from KMFDM, Ministry and Nine Inch Nails, The Divine were
inspired by noise when creating All Things God-Like (1999) and Sinthetic Inside
(2001), using guitars, effected vocals and various digital instruments. Through
extensive web promotion The Divine have sold CD's worldwide from their own
backyard to Denmark, England, Germany & throughout the United States.
The Divine have been featured in opening slots for Pigface, Gravity Kills,
Godhead, Bozo Porno Circus, Rhea's Obsession and The Clan of Xymox, accenting
their resume of live performance. Not content to rely on being a support act,
The Divine continue to push on and create their own shows, including gigs at
Lee's Palace, Reverb, The Kathedral, The Kee To Bala, and the legendary El
Macombo.
Coreen Wolanski of Exclaim! Magazine says "The Divine...somehow manage to
come up with a sound that is quite original...mixing hard-hitting guitar
punches with electronic weirdness." & called Sinthetic Inside's 'Space
City Sex Addict' "...a Ministry-meets-KMFDM work of dance-floor
genius."
Wolanski eloquently describes The Divine as "...just twisted enough to
slap the face of industrial music and give it a kiss, all at the same
time."
