Lazarus on February 25 2003: I love how the internet attracts
such anonymous and misinformed cowards. Why do I even waste my time replying to
such drivel as this? 1. If you were such a supporter of Osaze you
would have already known that he and DJ Shannon were let go way before I
started Thursdays at Zen. Your comment shows how ignorant you are and how often
you supported Osaze. They were both let go so CFNY could start up a rock night.
It didn't work out so Zen invited me to start a Thursday night. 2. I
do not feel that I am 'killing a great night'. I am 'creating a great night'.
The original night was porrly attended and Zen was not happy with it. So they
switched DJ's. Now Thursdays have over 300 people and the bar is happy. This
number will grow to about 500 once I start to advertise the night and the
weather warms up. 3. Before you go around shooting your mouth off let
me tell you a little story about what kind of person I am. Last year Zen Lounge
tried to get me to start a Thursday night. I declined the offer out of respect
for Osaze and DJ Shannon. I will not put fellow DJ's out of work. However, I
have no problem when they want to shutdown a CFNY sponsored night for an
independent DJ like myself.

really this ignorant, missinformed and well, quite honestly, stupid? I
respect what you're doing Lloyd, and i'm sure I will be attending the majority
of thursdays at Zen in due time. I's also nice to see how the person
left no name, email, or any other mark of who they were. This was almost as
pointless and immature as the many scribblings on the walls of bathroom stalls.

haha. So far, Space Age has been only doing better each time I get out
there. If that's killing a night, then may Laz twist that knife all he
pleases! If you like Osaze, fine. I'm sure he's a great DJ, and I've
heard he's a nice guy, but if your night isn't attracting the crowds, club
owners will find someone else who can bring the crowds. It's that simple.

Okay. let me say this. I have been going to ZenZoo for around 7 years (i'm 25).
yes, Ron, i was going in with fake i.d. i have known osaze since i was 15. i
have worked with Shannon at multiple clubs.. same with Duave/Osaze. What i've
noticed, the crowd wasn't coming to Zen .. be it for reasons
political/economical or just plain 'people weren't going out for that scene on
thursdays'. Lloyd / Phink go in there after Zen was struggling for thursdays
AFTER shannon/osaze weren't there anymore. so, ANON should really take the
corona bottle out of his ass and realize.. 'its a good thing' that
lazarus/phink are there and there still is a scene being supported. times
change and the scene changes. its a bar/nightclub. grow up. oh. and yah,
thursdays suck at velvet nowadays lol. anyways, i go bye. origin:out
