The Toronto-Goth Banner exchange program is a service offered to individuals in the Toronto Gothic / industrial / darkside community to help promote their personal homepages and web projects. It's a quick, easy and effective way of promoting your website. For each time someone sees a banner at your website, your banner is shown at another banner exchange member's website (thus the term "exchange"). Unlike some of the larger web banner exchanges, the Toronto-Goth Banner exchange has a very targeted audience and as such has a much higher click through ratio.

Feel free to place banner ads on as many pages as you want, but please note that this service is for personal use only. Those who want to advertise their site without having a banner placed on their own page should have a look at the Toronto-Goth Banner Ad program instead.

Sign up for the banner exchange by creating a member account.

Web banners on the Toronto-Goth Banner exchange are standard 468 pixels wide x 60 pixels tall .GIF or .JPG files, and should not be more then 15K in size (the smaller the better!). If you are artistically impaired or just plain lazy and full of money you can talk to one of our designers about having a banner ad custom made for your site. Upload the banner to your website directory, or you will be given the option of uploading it onto the toronto-goth.com server.

Your banner account administration page will show you the code to place on your Webpage. Copy the code & paste it into your HTML file where you want the banner to appear. It's best to put the banner on your most heavily trafficked page as it will maximize the amount of banner showings you will earn on other sites. If you want the banner to appear on multiple pages, be sure to change the number in your code (appears in 2 places)

Upload your HTML file with the banner code in place, and you're done!

Your statistics can always be viewed by logging into your Toronto-Goth Banner exchange account here. You can see how many times your banner has been shown, and how many people have clicked on it.
