As some of you may already know, a longtime member of our community
has recently passed away.
STAN
He was a former soldier in the Slovakian Army, was an
incredible magician and danced his ass off at Sanctuary and Vatikan on
countless occassions. -- Lance, former owner of Sanctuary, current co-owner
of The Vatikan
There will be a memorial/gathering for Stan this
Sunday February 27th 2005 at The Vatikan, 1032 Queen St. W. You may come any
time after 8pm, but are asked to be there by 9pm.
It will be a
very informal gathering, and friends and acquaintances of Stan are welcome to
come out to talk at this celebration of the life that just passed. It is being
organized by his friend Angelo, with the cooperation/assistance of The Vatikan
and the Catacombs night. Members of his family will be attending.
Stan
very much loved the time he spent in the nightclubs, and often danced the night
away. It is the belief of Angelo and Stan's family that he would not have
wanted a quiet, sombre occasion, nor would he have wanted a very formal affair,
and for these reasons they are holding the gathering at The Vatikan during a
club night.
The gathering for Stan falls on the regular weekly
Catacombs, the 27th being a night with regular
Djs Steven & Ocean, and additional features: Minx Clothing's 2nd
anniversary party and fashion show, live show by Delica. You are welcome to
come out for either STAN, or the Catacombs event itself. You are not asked to
mourn his passing with tears, but for friends of his to celebrate the life of
this long time scene member, and for everybody to enjoy themselves with good
music and fashion. |
