Folsom Fair North Announces 2004 Beneficiary and Weekend Events

Toronto, ON – (March 1, 2004) – The producers of Folsom Fair North (FFN) are proud to announce that Folsom Fair North 2 will take place the weekend of Friday, July 16 through Sunday, July 18, 2004. The sole beneficiary for 2004 will be the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT).

Folsom Fair North will take place on Sunday, July 18, 2004 at Yonge + Wellesley across from the Wellesley Subway Station. Leather and fetish lovers the world over are once again expected to converge on Toronto. Folsom Fair North 2 will have something for everyone – exhibitors promoting their services and selling their wares. The fair will be open 12 Noon to 10 pm with an abundance of exciting artists, performers, exhibitionists, demonstrations, DJs, live bands and entertainment, the ever-popular Steam Whistle Beer Garden & dance area, and an entertainment stage full of surprises hosted and broadcast by PrideVision TV, all surrounded by the sexiest, kinkiest and most entertaining crowd you have ever seen. There is a $5 suggested donation, no one turned away, 19 years or older.

The Official Opening Party of Folsom Fair North 2” will take place on Saturday, July 17, 2004 from 9pm to 4am and will see the return of DJ M. Arana (Boston) who wowed the crowd during the day at last year’s fair. The party takes place at The Roundhouse at Steam Whistle Brewing located in the historic railway yards just steps away from the CN Tower and SkyDome in downtown Toronto. Constructed in 1929, The Roundhouse functioned as a steam locomotive repair facility. The Roundhouse has been designated as a National Heritage Landmark of Canada. Tickets for the Opening Party are $30 advance and $40 at the door Advance tickets are available at Priape (Toronto, Montreal and Calgary), Bull Dog Coffee (Toronto), Gay-Mart (Vancouver) and Nasty Pig/Re:vision (NYC). The Opening Party will feature a special Dungeon/Play Area under the supervision of Toronto’s notorious Master R.

The party weekend doesn’t stop when the Fair ends on Sunday night… The Closing Party of Folsom Fair North Weekend will take place at Fly from 930pm to 5am on Sunday, July 18. Fly is ten thousand square feet of pure vibe and the home to the absolute best parties. Fly is the original Babylon from television’s Queer As Folk.
