You wanted a Retro party - we threw one, and it kicked ass. You wanted an old
style goth night. We dusted of the velvet and it was totally depressing (but in
a good way). You wanted old Industrial so we bought you rivet retro and it was
hard, hard and insane amounts of fun. Savage Garden has gone one step further
and combined all three into one massive blow out party of Retro stylings. Every
club staple of yesteryear is being pulled out of our vinyl collections. From
Ministry to Massive attack. From Bjork to Bauhaus. We are going to try to play
it all. Every other party was out of this world. This ones going to be three
times as good and has no Cover. Now you know where you'll be for the long
weekend
But wait there's more. How can we improve this?. Well the response has been so
massive that we're going to schedule Old Skool as a regular event at Savage
starting Thursday Sept 5th and every Thursday
there after, until you either stop coming or we can't take it any more. With so
many nights focussing on, Ebm / Trance / Electronic it seems more than
necessary to do this. Nobody is sure where the scene is at right now and what
music the scene is defined by, but we can all agree on the music that bought us
to this point. Remember the days when deciding what music you listened to was
as easy as saying you were either a goth or a rivet head. Thursdays have been a
rough ride for Savage. Partly I feel we were trying so hard to offer something
really different that we forgot why we do this. Its to have fun and throw a
damn good party.I don't know how long this night will run. All I can say is,
come party to the old skool, because you have the whole rest of the week to
dance to non stop thumping ebm beats.
