Updated July 24th: the
fair has been cancelled.
Stained Productions is putting together a record fair for indie labels and
artists to be held in Toronto at the Tranzac Club (Bloor and Brunswick) on the
afternoon of Saturday, September 7th. We intend it to be an eclectic gathering
of sounds including electronic, experimental, indie rock, punk, goth,
industrial and more.
Admission to the event will be free for people coming to browse/shop, and it
will be heavily promoted throughout the summer with flyers, posters and
partnerships with such indie-friendly organizations as CIUT Radio and
Wavelength. We will also have DJs spinning throughout the day.
We are currently soliciting labels and artists to participate as vendors. There
are three different table sizes available, and the vendor fees are very
reasonable. A website for the event is currently under construction at http://www.torontorecordfair.com and full vendor
registration info can be found at http://www.torontorecordfair.com/registration.html
If you are an indie label or artist in the Toronto area (or one from further
away who is willing to travel in for the weekend), please check out the info
and drop us a line off-list letting us know if you'd like to participate, or if
you have any questions or concerns.
And please feel free to forward this info far and wide. The more folks we can
get involved with this, the better!
cheers,
Greg Clow (greg@stainedproductions.com)
