From DJ Lazarus regarding SGTW:
The last band to be added to the SGtW lineup is:
Cleen/Cleaner/Clear Vision (technically all the same project but with different
names)
Daniel Myer, the brains and heart behind Cleen/Clear Vision, is not only a
prolific electronic music genius but one of the most respected and well known
names in the alternative electronic scene. He is currently involved in Clear
Vision, Haujobb, HMB, and many other musical projects as both a solo artist and
a collaborator. Cleen/Clear Vision is his most EBM influenced work with many
dance floor favourites including "Did you forget something?",
"Freaks", "Sunburst", "Stronger",
"Believe", "Pillow Talk", "Revenge", "The
Voice", and almost every other track off all the albums. His presence is a
perfect addition to SGtW. To learn more about his work visit http://www.planetmyer.de
Sunday June 30 will now be as follows: New Clear Sky, Red Flag, Cleen/Clear
Vision, Assemblage23, and Icon of Coil. Yippee!
FYI SECTION:
I am now at liberty to speak of my hardships at trying to find a headliner for
Sunday night. I had tried almost every big name act you could think of but with
little luck. All the bands I tried had good reasons not to play whether it was
because they were in the studio, all ready planning a tour, not able to play
because of prior obligations, wanted too much money, or never contacted me
back. These were some of the acts I was trying to get, Soft Cell, Human League,
Men without Hats, Wolfsheim, De/vision, Camouflage, Project Pitchfork, Erasure,
OMD, Scooter, Heaven 17, and Front 242. Look at the bright side, there are lots
of cool bands left for a SGtW2. :) When I could not get a BIG name headliner
for Sunday I implemented my Plan B action (always have a plan b). This was to
shift Icon of Coil and Assemblge23 up and find a really good medium draw band.
I then spoke with Seabound (planning a tour later this year), emailed
Neuroticfish (no reply back), but finally decided on Cleen/Clear Vision. The
Sunday night lineup is now complete and solid. No complaints I hope. ;)
This is an amazing lineup! Covenant, And One, Icon Of Coil, Mesh, Beborn Beton,
Assemblage23, TOY, Psyche, Cleen/Clear Vision, Melotron, Red Flag, Spoons,
Cosmicity, New Clear Sky, and Die Roboter(amazing kraftwerk cover band).
Looking at this list gives me an electro hard on!
SGtW is, in my biased opinion, easily the best lineup of bands ever assembled
in North America and possibly the world. Of course this is arguable, but then
you probably have bad taste in music. Ha!
So now that you know the official lineup go tell all your friends to get
tickets to this landmark event.
