DJ M to leave Savage Garden - DJ Search Underway

From http://www.savagegarden.ca/news_djsearch.htm

Well I've just received the unfortunate news that Dj M will soon be leaving us to return to his home country of Italy. Its a sad moment for us all, as Toronto will loose one of its most outspoken voices of the industrial scene. Dj M has continually unveiled new bands and sounds for us all. His focussed attitude has paid off in one of the truly progressive Dj nights in the city. Headstrong and sometimes confrontational, his approach has made him both friends and enemies but at the end of the day, his positive attitude and refusal to compromise has gained him the respect that he has worked so hard for. The question now becomes, Who will fill these shoes ?. I could just take a look around Toronto's Dj's and choose one, but that seems a rather selfish and arbitrary decision on my part. Afterall its the patrons of Savage who come to enjoy the space and music that should decide. So once more its time to hunt down a Dj. The format will remain the same as an industrial/ebm/electro style eveni ng. However as with any night at Savage the Dj's are not constrained by a club imposed playlist. This is a only a guideline so I don't start accepting house and break beat demo's.

Dj M will be leaving us June 21st. Until then I will be accepting demos accompanied with a bio and mission statement from Dj's. After that Dj's who make the first cut will be given the chance to spin at Savage on a Friday until the crowd has decided who the new resident should be. Demos can be dropped in at Savage any night we are open, to myself Paul Samuels or any other member of staff to my attn.

This opportunity is a rare one and does not come along too often, to all Toronto Dj's I say seize the day and let the Dj hunt commence.

At this second the clock is counting down and as each week passes you will have one less opportunity to experience what Maurizio has to say through the music he plays. There are five Friday nights until June 21st, may I suggest now is the time to put on your dancing tunes and feel the Dj M experience whilst you still can.
