| Flux Fridays Grand Opening |

For those who do not know, Savannah Lounge used to be Studio 69. A club
that had a booming and cool retro Friday night for many years. It was a
haven for people disenchanted with the regular haunts and it packed in
over 500 people every Friday. The very first 'Fetish Masquerade' was
even held there over four years ago. Over time the format changed due to
CFNY fucking things up by making the night an alt rock night with a dab
of shit retro. Therefore, the crowd changed and the night eventually
died. I remember dancing away so many of my Fridays at Studio 69. I
prefered it to Catch 22. They were truly great times. Some of the
friends I made then are still my dear friends now. I hope to bring back
that no attitude vibe, but improve upon the music.
Savannah Lounge now offers a large wooden dance floor (the best surface
to dance on in my opinion), a raised VIP seating area, large clean
washrooms (that will be renovated in the next few months), three bars
for your serving pleasure, a go-go dancing stage for the exhibitionists
among us, and friendly door staff and bartenders,
Most of the club should appear completed by this Friday. I know the new
lighting system will not be ready for a while, but I will be bringing my
own lights in to help compensate. I am told there will be drink specials
until 11:30pm and I am selecting drinks to be ordered I know this crowd
will like (Rev, coolers, mikes hard, etc) you know, girly drinks. ;)
Hopefully, they will have ordered them by this Friday. I also hope the
new furniture will be delivered soon, or you will be sitting on boxes of
beer. Maybe some people would prefer that anyways. :)
FLUX FRIDAYS
every Friday starting August 10
Savannah Lounge (71 Bathurst @ King)
10pm-3ish 19+
*NO COVER*
I wish many of you will check this night out since the location is in a
safe and convenient part of town. No crack heads will bother you while
walking to the club. There is also no cover, and of course the music
will be brilliant and fun. ;)
FLUX: something in a constant state of change. This is how I view the
night, as the music will vary depending on requests, the general vibe,
and of course, my mood. Some Fridays will be more retro, others will be
more techno industrial, or even more synthpoppy. It all just depends...
Another benefit of visiting this part of town will be the ability to
actually bar hop. All the clubs below are within a block or so of each
other. You have three decent choices of clubs now on Fridays.
