American Psycho II
They recently wrapped up filming on American Psycho II (AP II) here in Toronto. It looks interesting although the film doesn't really have much to do with AP I. Actually, the only connection to the first film is the name and a passing reference to Bateman, the killer from the first movie. AP II tells the story of a psychotic teenage girl who, believing she's invincible, goes on a killing spree which ends with her own *faked* death. The girl is played by Mila Kunis (Jackie from Fox TV's "That Seventies Show") which caused many problems for the production. Parent's and religions groups had a field day when they decided to cast a 17 year old to play the teenage killer. Not in the era of Columbine! No way! They tried to shut down the production, so the producers said fine we won't shoot American Psycho II. Then they continued the film in secret under the title "The girl who wouldn't die!". Now that the film's shot they are fighting for a theatrical release but due to the political aspecs of the film it'll probably get bumped to a Direct To Video release. The film also starrs "Forever Knight's" Geraint Wyn Davies as the Criminal Psychiatrist who makes it his goal to catch her, so that he can make millions off the book and movie rights.
